Hi, I got a speeding ticket in santa ana, ca. I went to court and plead non guilty, so they schedule my trial for Nov 3rd. So yesterday I showed up and I wasn't on the list of cases, so I turned in my Notice to defendant that stated Nov 3rd and they claimed that date was set in error and that the trial is tomorrow. what should I do for my case to be dismissed? can i do anything? Thanks that was october 2nd. Funny part is that if I don't go tomorrow they put a warrant on me or something. And they make me go for nothing, waste 3 hours, spend on gas, parking, ask a day off at work, and I have to eat it? is so unfair. Anyways I don't think this is a valid argument...? guilty. Its such BS. I ask them to dismiss the case cause my trial wasn't on the supposed date and cop wasn't there, they said no, then I ask to continuos the trial cause i wasn't prepared since my witness could not make it that day and judge said "if u not prepared you are guilty". Now I either pay the ticket or appeal his decision, which seems complicated plus it's all a scam so I don't know if its worth it.... Read More »
